Marketing Tips for Realtors came out of the frustrations I was having with some realtors who were butchering their brands in an attempt to market online. Whether it was from bad advice, silly blunders, or indifference, these realtors are going out of their way to hurt themselves.

So who the heck am I?

My name is David Desjardins, and I specialize in the development of branded web sites for a variety of industries. For nearly 18 years I have been helping companies around the world design, market, and maintain web sites that build their businesses. I am not a specialist in real estate, but I come from a marketing background that understands this:

“When done right, the web is your ally. When done smartly, it costs virtually nothing, and is an unending source of revenue. Treated with indifference, the web is your worst enemy.”

So, I prefer to do things right. Web sites are built exceeding standards required by the search engines. We adapt and change that design (and software) on a regular basis. I believe all sites should be SEO ready with all of the tools you’ll need, built right in.

My background includes publishing and media, and brand development for over 100 companies. I’ve worked for firms big and small, where if it’s done right the first time, it’s a success. I don’t believe in wasting money.

This blog is an attempt to educate and inspire others (realtors), and as a way of giving back what I’ve learned.
